UTSA Roadrunner Days Schedule: August 23

(Aug. 23, 2018) – The semester is off to a great start! Students have more opportunities to join in on the fun and excitement of finding a place where they belong at UTSA during Roadrunner Days. UTSA hosts activities to engage its communities at the Main and Downtown Campuses.

Here are the events for today:

Networking Socials – Day 2
8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Student Union, Harris Room (HSU 2.212) and Travis Room (HSU 2.202), Main Campus

The Student Center for Community Engagement and Inclusion hosts Community Networking Socials during Roadrunner Day that focus on UTSA’s diverse population. All Networking Socials are casual come and go events for all Roadrunners. Attendees do not have to identify with the population group indicated.

Networking Social times and sessions
8:30 a.m. to 10 am - Dreamers and Allies
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Black/African American
4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. - Post-traditional and out of state (1 of 2 rooms)
4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. - Out of state (1 of 2 rooms)

The Roadrunner Life Hacks - Day 3
3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Student Union, Harris Room (HSU 2.212) and Travis Room (HSU 2.202), Main Campus

UTSA has students covered with tips to help them survive and thrive through their academic career. This new workshop series kicks off today providing information about common issues and questions students may have as they navigate university life. Presentations are led by university staff and student leaders who can share their knowledge and experience providing guidance about university life. Find out more about sessions and times.

Mixer @ the Downtown Library
 
4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Downtown Library, 2nd floor, Buena Vista Building

Students can come meet the friendly “Blue Crew” staff and learn how the Downtown Library can help them succeed at UTSA. Students can also enjoy refreshments and beautiful views of downtown.

SGA Meet and Greet
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Student Union Denman Ballroom (SU 2.01.28), Main Campus

This new Roadrunner Days event encourages student to get more involved with UTSA student government. They can meet their elected Student Government Association representatives and learn about opportunities to serve and help the UTSA community.

Students will need to check into all Roadrunner Days events using Event Pass on their mobile device.  To do so, simply log in to RowdyLink, click on profile and download event pass using Apple Wallet, Google Play or screenshot.  Saving the event pass makes checking into campus events quick and easy.  In many cases, students will need their event pass or abc123 to get free swag, food and shirts at events.
