UTSA launches family town hall series for new students

UTSA launches family town hall series for new students

MAY 15, 2020 — Starting college can be an exciting and challenging time for both new students and their families. To help navigate through this transitional experience, UTSA is launching a series of virtual town halls for families and parents of Future Roadrunners.

The New Student Virtual Family Town Hall series is designed to welcome families with admitted students to UTSA and provide practical information as their student begins their academic journey. The town halls will include topics on applying for financial aid, paying tuition and fees, moving to campus and getting ready for the fall semester.

All the town halls are at noon and will last approximately one hour. Virtual town hall themes and dates are:

  • May 16: Welcome to the UTSA Family! You’ve Been Admitted. Now What?
  • June 13: Welcome to the UTSA Family! What Makes UTSA and San Antonio Such a Great Place to Live and Learn?
  • July 18: Welcome to the UTSA Family! What Are the Resources for Student Success?
  • August 15: Welcome to the UTSA Family! How Do I Get Connected at UTSA?

View the virtual town hall series on the Future Roadrunner website.

“This overarching town hall series will provide new student families with useful resources to stay on track through the summer as they prepare for UTSA fall classes,” said Joseph Kulhanek, associate vice president for strategic enrollment partnerships.
