VIRTUAL EVENTS


COMMUNITY GATHERING: The Multicultural Student Center for Equity and Justice is hosting a community gathering for students, faculty and staff to come together and process emotions over recent acts of racial injustice across the nation, which have been condemned by university leadership. Wednesday, June 3, noon.


FACULTY CENTER PRESENTS: Academic Innovation kicks off its Summer Digital Teaching Forum Series with Cultivating Compassion and Empathy in Online Courses. Thursday, June 4, 9 a.m.


RETURN TO RESEARCH: If you missed the Research Recovery town hall on restarting in-person research and lab activities while safeguarding public health, watch the recorded stream, presented by the Research Excellence and Doctoral Education Recovery tactical team.

READY TO ZOOM: Everyone now has access to video conferencing tool Zoom to support remote learning and communication with students. Visit Academic Innovation’s Zoom Resources to get started. Sign in with your UTSA credentials to access a higher ed pro account.


SHOW YOUR SPIRIT: If you’re missing campus, don’t forget that we’ve created some campus-inspired and spirit-themed virtual backgrounds for Zoom to help you feel connected with other Roadrunners while taking courses or working remotely.


COMMUNITY NEWS


24/7 BLACKBOARD SUPPORT: Academic Innovation offers first-line support for Blackboard 24/7 to all faculty, staff and students. Contact Blackboard Support by calling 210-458-4520 (menu option 1) or emailing utsa@edusupportcenter.com (for fastest service, use your UTSA email account). Escalated tickets will be handled weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays. Comments or concerns? Contact academicinnovation@utsa.edu.

READY WHEN YOU ARE: Three popular services housed in the Student Union are still operating.

Roadrunner Pantry is operating on a self-service model. Drop in with your UTSA ID weekdays from noon to 4 p.m. Get up to seven bags of food, one visit per week. Email questions to staff. The UPS Store is open weekdays from noon to 4 p.m. for mail and package pickup and storage. Call 210-458-4945 or email store staff for more info. Campus Technology Store is accepting orders online and is able to ship products to clients. All orders over $100 ship free. Email the Campus Technology Store for more info.


Access the Roadrunner Pantry and the UPS Store or make pickups from Campus Technology Store via the north entrance to the Student Union, near the circle drive and tennis courts.
