AUGUST 19, 2020 — From puffy to breakfast to street, San Antonio loves its tacos. Join us this week for the final edition of UTSA’s Food for Thought summer webinar series. On the menu, our experts will explore what makes a taco a taco.
The panel, featuring experts from publishing, television and the restaurant industry, will discuss how this favorite cuisine of South Texas has evolved over time and why people love tacos so much that cities compete for where you can find “the best.”
On the panel:
John Phillip Santos, UTSA’s Distinguished Scholar in Mestizo Studies and author of the acclaimed Places Left Unfinished at the Time of Creation, will moderate.
Scheduled for Thursday, August 20 at noon, this virtual event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
