University Career Center to host virtual career fairs for fall

University Career Center to host virtual career fairs for fall

SEPTEMBER 14, 2020 — The University Career Center is hosting its career fairs virtually on Handshake. Over 100 organizations will participate at the All Majors & Internship Career Fair and the S.T.E.M. Career Fair this semester.

An advantage of hosting fairs virtually this semester is that organizations that may not have been able to come to UTSA for career fairs physically can now connect with Roadrunners.

The All Majors & Internship Career Fair will be Wednesday, September 16, and the S.T.E.M. Career Fair will be Monday, September 21.

Students can learn about organizations during the career fairs and share their Handshake profile in group sessions or prescheduled one-on-one appointment. During these sessions, students will be able to chat with representatives from the organization and learn more about the opportunities available to them.

All sessions will have the option for Handshake video, audio and text-based chat. There is no customization for types of interaction; it is up to the employer and student joining the session to determine how they would like to connect.

Students can see a complete list of organizations attending on Handshake and begin to preregister and reserve their time slot to connect with organizations.
