Tutoring Services provide different programs to meet students' needs.

Tutoring Program

The Tutoring Program provides currently enrolled UTSA students academic support in a number of courses including Math, Science, Engineering, and Business. The program gives UTSA students opportunities to work with tutors in groups or individually. No appointment is necessary.

STARS (Synergistic Targeted Academic Review Sessions)

STARS is a specialty program design to assist Roadrunners enrolled in General and Organic Chemistry I & II. Tutors in this program work closely with professors to cover traditionally difficult topics in the course. STAR Sessions are peer-led, interactive, and group focused. There are multiple sessions and times offered every week. On average, students who attend STARS regularly improve a whole letter grade in the course than student who did not attend.

Tutoring Services is bringing the tutoring to the students where they are! ImprompTutoring is pop-up tutoring in areas around the Sombrilla on UTSA's Main Campus. We offer support in all subjects covered inside the Q-Lab, except it's outside. It is intended on providing fast support to students who may not have the time to make it to our tutoring center for one reason or another.

College Success Seminar (CSS)

The College Success Seminar classes teach life and academic skills through individualized instruction in a small group setting. The courses will help to refine basic skills in preparation for college level courses.
