Support Our Work
As a new program with modest seed funding from the UT Board of Regents, we do not (yet) receive sustaining funds from UTSA.
Ways to Help
We strive to advocate on behalf of individuals in recovery and to ensure that others have access to making lifestyle changes which promote good health and stewardship of the University and the San Antonio community as a whole. With your gifts we are building a foundation in which present and future students in recovery will have a fulfilling and empowering experience as they pursue their academic and personal goals.
In addition to the ability to donate online, we offer the following ways to support CCR:
Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) Fund
The Collegiate Recovery Community Fund allows us to cover the day to day operational expenses. Since June of 2014, generous supporters have contributed over 25,000 dollars to support the establishment of the CRC at UTSA. Your gift will allow us to build upon the lifesaving services offered through CCR.
Recovery Scholarship Fund
Our goal is to award a minimum of two scholarships each semester to students in recovery who have upheld CCR’s guiding principles of Honestly, Love, Service and Willingness. We are grateful to help offset some of the cost of education for these students, as many have used resources for their health and recovery prior to UTSA. By investing in a student’s education you are helping us to create future leaders of the community!
Our Pillars Council is composed of individuals in the San Antonio region and others in the recovery field who are dedicated to CCR’s sustainability. By joining this council with a pledged donation of $5,000 each year for a 5-year period, you will be providing the necessary funds to ensure that students in recovery at UTSA continue to receive quality support in a healthy environment on campus. We are proud to recognize our corporate Pillars Council members on the CCR website as well as at Center events in the UTSA community.
Collegiate recovery programs are part of a growing movement to address addiction on campuses across the nation. UTSA is proud to join the growing group of forward-thinking institutions who provide this important support community for students; and we are extremely grateful for our partners investing in student recovery at UTSA.
