Welcome to the Office Governmental Relations at UTSA
What we do
The Office of Governmental Relations communicates UTSA's needs and priorities with elected officials and government agencies at all levels of government. In addition, the Office of Governmental Relations:
- Serves as primary points of contact to elected officials at the local, state, and federal level.
- Collaborates with UT System Offices of Government Relations and Federal Relations.
- Monitors the impacts of state legislation related to higher education.
- Builds partnerships with Chambers of Commerce, civic leaders and other external stakeholders.
In an effort to centralize all legislative communications and interactions with elected officials, please contact Albert Carrisalez, Director for Governmental Relations/Assistant to the President at (210) 458-5138.
Thank you for all you do for UTSA, let us know how we can be of service.
