Identifying UTSA
In accordance with strategies described in the Office of Information Technology 2007 Annual Work Plan, Customer Relations & Communications for the Office of Information Technology has developed identity guidelines that are consistent and effective for communications internally and externally regarding The Office of Information Technology at UTSA. All members of the Office of Information Technology are asked to follow the new identity guidelines outlined in this document for print or electronic media so that the office is represented by one image, brand, and/or style.
All questions, requests for guideline changes, and exceptions to guidelines must be made to Customer Relations & Communications. These OIT identity guidelines are a supplement to the UTSA identity guidelines outlined by Dr. Romo, and University Communications Office at UTSA. An online instruction manual to UTSA’s official identity guidelines is available at http://www.utsa.edu/identity/.
Editorial Style Guide
An editorial style guide is also available from UTSA’s identity guide web site. The style guide helps copy editors, graphic designers, and media administrators deliver a clear concise message in print and design. Please use the online UTSA Style Guide as your reference to correct punctuation, acronym usage, capitalization, and accepted UTSA abbreviations at http://www.utsa.edu/identity/styleguide/.
Trademarks and Licensing
ALL trademarked and licensed material, whether in print or other media, is protected by federal and state law. Use of these materials must be accompanied by explicit consent from, or in agreement with the entity that holds said trademark or license. Trademark and licensing protection applies to all UTSA material, including The Roadrunner the official mascot of UTSA. The Roadrunner image or Fighting Roadrunner image is trademarked and can only be used with permission from UTSA Athletics, or University Communications.
