Information Security information specifically oriented towards people with are responsible for managing, supporting, or maintaining desktop systems, server devices, or the networks to which they are connected.

Important security information for those who manage or have oversight responsibility for information systems but are not providing "hands on" support themselves.(coming soon)

Security Alerts

The Texas Department of Information Resources has received reports of state employees receiving "Death Threat" e-mail messages.

These messages are a form of a phishing attack - an attempt by the sender to have you reveal personally identifiable information. If you provide this information, you may become a victim of identity theft.

If you receive one of these e-mail messages, please contact the UTSA Information Security Office via e-mail (security@utsa.edu) or at ext. 5899.
