Changes for Online Network Password Reset
The Office of Information Technology has installed a new Identity Manager (IdM) application. As before, if you need to reset or change your password, you may do so by selecting the Network Account Reset button at: http://email.utsa.edu.
In order to reset/change your password, you must provide answers to your personal questions.
If you need to reset your password but have not already provided answers to your personal questions, you may request assistance from the OIT Help Desk at 458-5538.
Additionally, if you would like to set up or review the answers to your personal questions, please visit this same Web site.
IDM Notes
You will receive an e-mail notification from the IdM application if your password is a) successfully changed, b) is not successfully changed and c) when it is reset by the OIT Help Desk.
In order to meet security standards, your password must meet 3 out of 4 of the below requirements:
- One or more numbers
- One or more letters (lowercase)
- One or more letters (uppercase)
- One or more special characters. Acceptable special characters are:
! (exclamation mark)
% (percent sign)
* (asterisk)
+ (plus sign)
- (dash)
/ (forward slash)
: (colon)
? (question mark)
_ (underscore)
Also, remember that your password must be a minimum of 8 characters.
