About the Faculty Advisory Committee

In the spring of 2016, the UTSA Office of Information Technology (OIT) formed the OIT Faculty Advisory Committee. This committee which was created under the direction of Interim Vice Provost for Information Technology and CIO Bryan Wilson offers a forum for UTSA faculty members to discuss services and support required from OIT.

The OIT Faculty Advisory Committee serves as a crucial liaison between UTSA faculty and OIT. The committee enables OIT to collaborate with representatives from various UTSA colleges. Members engage in discussions with OIT leadership regarding topics centered on academics and research endeavors and innovative solutions aimed at fostering student success.

To ensure that each department is fully represented on this committee and is given an opportunity to voice their department's needs, all UTSA department chairs are invited to nominate a faculty member to serve on the committee.
