UTSA releases winter break operating hours

(Dec. 19, 2018) -- Over the winter break, all classes and many UTSA business operations will be closed or operate on skeleton crew beginning Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018 through Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019.  Most university buildings will be locked during winter break unless otherwise noted on this schedule

UTSA will resume normal business hours on Wednesday, Jan, 2, 2019 with a few exceptions listed on the UTSA Campus Alerts website.  

Alternate hours of operations for the following departments and activities at UTSA will apply during winter break:

Housing & Residence Life

  • Alvarez and Chaparral Village front desks: closed Dec. 22 – Jan. 1.
  • Laurel Village front desk will be open Dec. 27-28 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. to assist all communities and closed the remainder of the break.
  • For assistance during closures, on-call personnel will be available per the contact information posted at the front desk for each community.

Libraries

  • JPL: closed Dec. 23 – 26 & Dec. 30 – Jan. 1
  • Downtown: closed Dec. 22 – Jan. 1
  • AET: closed Dec.15 – Jan. 13

Recreation Center & Field Complex

  • Recreation Center: closed Dec. 22 – Jan. 1
  • Downtown Fitness Center: closed Dec. 22 – Jan. 2
  • Rec Field Complex: closed Dec. 22 – Jan. 2

Student Union

  • Visit the website for hours of operation

Campus Services (Dining, Shuttles, UTSACard)

  • No UTSACard Service – Dec. 22 – Jan. 1
  • No Shuttle Service – Dec. 15 – Jan. 13
  • Visit UTSA Campus Dish for dining hours of operation during winter break

UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures

  • Closed Dec. 25 and 28 and Jan. 1

One-Stop Enrollment Center

  • Main and Downtown Campus Offices: closed Dec. 24 – Jan. 1

Student Health Services

  • Clinic closed Dec. 24 – Jan. 1

Counseling Services

  • Crisis Helpline (on-call counselor for after hours, weekend holiday):  (210) 458-4140,*Select Option 3

Research Laboratories

  • Normal protocols apply unless otherwise communicated to faculty and staff.

For emergency services, please call the UTSA Police Department at (210) 458-4911, or (210) 458-4242 for non-emergencies.
