National Security Collaboration Center

The goal of this initiative is to establish a National Security Collaboration Center (NSCC) at UTSA to advance research, education, and workforce development in the areas of cybersecurity, data analytics, and cloud computing. The NSCC will build a collaborative and impactful ecosystem engaging government, industry and academia to solve the nation’s greatest issues surrounding cybersecurity. This initiative includes the construction of a new facility to include a Computational Research Laboratory, a Cyber Laboratory/Range, Data Analytics Laboratory, Cloud Computing and Visualization technologies and an Innovation Factory.
Objectives
- Build a facility (Computational Research Building) to enhance the cybersecurity ecosystem in the region
- Build/launch a federally sponsored research center with federal partners
- Build/launch a computational Innovation Factory to feed innovation in San Antonio
- Expand UTSA’s ability to conduct applied and classified research
