Undergraduates can now apply to UTSA for fall 2021

Undergraduates can now apply to UTSA for fall 2021

JULY 7, 2020 — High school seniors and incoming transfers can now apply to UTSA for fall 2021.

UTSA is on the rise as an institution that is consistently recognized for its cultural diversity, research excellence and cutting-edge academics. It’s the largest university in San Antonio, with more than 32,000 students, and is one of the most affordable Texas public institutions located in a major metropolitan area.

UTSA is a university of choice for students who are ready to invest in their Bold Future. Students who apply early will have an admissions decision sooner, extra time to prepare for college and more funding opportunities.

“One of the greatest benefits to applying early is that you’ll have access to more financial aid and scholarship opportunities.”

Beverly Woodson Day, senior director of UTSA’s undergraduate recruitment, strongly recommended prospective students apply early to maximize their financial aid and scholarships. “One of the greatest benefits to applying early is that you’ll have access to more financial aid and scholarship opportunities than those who wait until later to apply.”

The university offers merit-based scholarships like the Distinguished Presidential and Distinguished Transfer Scholarships to incoming students with exceptional scholastic achievement. Also, incoming freshmen who qualify for the UTSA Bold Promise program will have their tuition and fees covered 100% for fall and spring semesters for four years as long as they continue to meet requirements.

UTSA offers a wide range of academic programs that are curated by award-winning faculty. The programs incorporate hands-on learning experiences into their curriculum, which has been shown to help students transition from classroom to career. UTSA also works closely with local businesses to offer experiential learning opportunities that will help students obtain valuable skills for their careers.

Future Roadrunners are encouraged to explore UTSA majors for specialized information on each degree program and to schedule a virtual campus tour to experience what UTSA has to offer, which could help them feel more self-assured when making an early admissions decision.

UTSA also offers region-specific admissions counselors to answer college questions, provide resources and guide incoming students through the admissions process.

Prospective students can apply now for the fall 2021 semester using the ApplyTexas application. ApplyTexas is the online portal that incoming undergraduate students use to apply to Texas public universities. SAT and ACT admissions requirements will be waived at UTSA from now until spring 2022.
