Updating your personal information

Your personal information can be updated through UT Direct. After logging in to UT Direct, the menu in the left column will allow you to update;

  • your work address,
  • work email,
  • work phone number,
  • degree earned (BA, BSc, MA, PhD, etc),
  • and other personal information.

If you do not have access to UT Direct, please contact HR Training and Development at 458-4658 about enrolling in an EID activation class.

Personal information can also be updated through DEFINE. Please contact your administrative support staff for more information.

The directory is updated within 2-5 business days of changes.

Preferred name?

If you prefer to be called a name that is not listed in the directory, e-mail Human Resources. Please provide the following in the e-mail:

  • Current name listed in the directory
  • Preferred name
  • Office name

Contact HR Employee Relations (458-7891) regarding extenuating circumstances associated with the Directory.

Updating office information (office search)

From the "Office Detail" page that profiles your office, follow the "update this information " link at the bottom of the page.

Include any information that needs to be updated in the form. After you submit the form you will receive a confirmation email. Please allow 3-5 business days for processing.
