UTSA is responding to the COVID-19 outbreak with a commitment to supporting the safety of the university community while enabling the academic progress of students. Here is your digest of university news and tips.

ONLINE LEARNING & TELECOMMUTING

FIND VIRTUAL RESOURCES: Staff members, check out the new Working Remotely Resources page with links to details on human resources, business operations, financial transactions, and mail and receiving.

 

FACULTY EVALUATIONS UPDATE: Faculty, UTSA has updated the timelines for 2019 Annual Evaluations and 2020 Promotion and Tenure Review and guidance for other faculty evaluation processes. Please keep track of your teaching, research and service activities, tasks, and accomplishments in which you’re engaged to support your departments, colleges and the university as well as professional associations during this time. Additionally, include in your CV any professional activities, presentations, workshops, invited lectures, etc., that had been scheduled but were canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

 

CAMPUS OPERATIONS: With our new What’s Open on Campus page find out what on campus is open and closed and what operations are accessible virtually.

VIRTUAL EVENTS

BE YOUR BEST: Three virtual town hall meetings this week are designed to help you stay mentally and physically fit.

  • Dealing with Distractions in the Home Work Environment: Find ways to give yourself the space that helps you focus and that’s more conducive to the new virtual work and study norms. Hosted by the Staff Senate.
    Tuesday, April 7, 2–3 p.m.

  • Wellbeing in the Midst of a Pandemic: Learn some tactics for settling your nerves and calming your worries during this time of uncertainty and change.
    Wednesday, April 8, 2–3 p.m.

  • Staying Healthy: Learn tips for and the importance of being aware of your total well-being in the midst of shelter-in-place and social distancing rules.
    Thursday, April 8, 2–3 p.m.
