International S.O.S

International SOS is a 24-hour medical, emergency and security response organization. Faculty and staff who are traveling internationally are required to register with International SOS.

NOTE: There is no fee to register.

  • If travel arrangements are completed using a U.T. System-contracted travel agency, then no action is necessary. The traveler will automatically be enrolled.

  • If travel arrangements are NOT completed U.T. System-contracted travel agency, the traveler must register before their Request for Travel Authorization (RTA) is submitted for final approval by the appropriate department administrator.

To register:

  1. Access the website.
  2. From the Members Login field, enter the following UT System membership number, 11BSGC000037. The University of Texas System International SOS Assistance Abroad web page appears.

  3. Click on the link to activate your Emergency Record. The International SOS Emergency Record web page appears.

    • New users must create a User ID and password.

    • Returning users should review and update their information as necessary.

  4. From the Personal Travel Locator field, click Add trip to enter your travel itinerary information.

    • New users must create a User ID and password.

    • Returning users should add the new travel itinerary information.

  5. Print the International SOS membership card and carry it with you at all times while traveling.
