Veronica Garcia

Assistant Director for the Center City Development & Operations Department of the City of San Antonio

Veronica Garcia is the Assistant Director for the Center City Development & Operations Department of the City of San Antonio. She oversees the development, real estate, contracts and facilities divisions, and has oversight of La Villita and Market Square. Veronica has been part of some of downtown’s most transformational projects, including redesigning the river barge experience, creating free parking programs, activating Travis Park, and restoration of the Alameda Theater. Veronica has been with the City for over 15 years and is a graduate of Trinity University with a double major in Economics and Business Administration. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Andrea “Andi” Rodriguez

Vice President of Urban Planning and Art Activation at Centro San Antonio

Andi serves as Vice President of Urban Planning and Art Activation at Centro San Antonio, the city’s urban core advocacy organization and oversees their urban realm projects. In addition to freelance writing, she serves on several local not-for-profit boards including the leadership council of the Urban Land Institute, the Wage Equity Advisory Committee and immediate past chair of Leadership San Antonio. She is a former city Planning Commissioner, Founding Chair of the Hemisfair Conservancy and former Chair of the Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women. With a BA in Marketing & Communications, and an MS in Architecture/Urban Planning, she is passionate about the power of art, public space and people.
