Westside Scholarship Matching Opportunity

September 15-October 15, 2021

In celebration of being a Hispanic-thriving university, UTSA Annual Giving is spotlighting several crowdfunding opportunities during Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15-October 16, 2021. One special opportunity is doubling the impact of gifts to the university’s Westside Scholarship. UTSA President Taylor Eighmy and his wife Peggy are matching up to $10,000 in gifts to the scholarship, which assists students from San Antonio’s west side as they pursue degrees at the university.

Support for this scholarship gives encouragement to students from neighborhoods near the Downtown Campus and helps ensure that finances do not stand in the way of their success. With the Eighmy’s generous support, the impact of gifts—whether $20 or $2,000—will be doubled.

To be matched, gifts to the Westside Scholarship should be made online before October 16 at fund.utsa.edu.
