About Shea Serrano

Shea Serrano is a New York Times best-selling author, journalist, former teacher and San Antonio native. As a journalist Serrano's writing includes pieces for the many different publications including: GQ, ESPN, LA Weekly, XXL, Rolling Stone, MTV, and Vice. Serrano wrote and illustrated his first book "Bun B's Rap Coloring and Activity Book" which was a collaboration with rapper Bun B. Serrano follwed that book with "The Rap Yearbook," "Basketball (And Other Things," and "Movies( And Other Things." All three books debuted on the New York Times Best-selling books list. Serrano also has a strong social media following where he engages with his over 400,000 followers on a variety of topics and ideas. He has also started his own publishing company which be created to provide opportunities for up and coming writers.
