Charging Stations

UTS StudentConnect provides mobile device charging stations that secure and charge most devices available today. Secure fast charging is available to UTSA Students, Faculty and Staff with their myUTSA ID cards at the following locations:


Main Campus:

  • JPL Library Building – 1st floor across from the elevators
  • Business Building ( BB) – 2nd floor glass foyer entrance area across from the Market Store
  • Biotechnology Sciences and Engineering Building (BSE 1.660) by elevators near Einstein’s Bagel
  • McKinney Humanities Building ( MH) – 2nd floor across from POD
  • Flawn Building (FLN) 2nd floor near FLN 2.01-7 

Downtown Campus:

  • Frio Street Building ( FS) – 1st floor by Starbucks
How to charge?
  1. Charging and securing your device is easy: Select the available charging locker you wish to use.
  2. Plug in your device and close the locker door.
  3. Swipe your myUTSA ID card to lock the door.
  4. The locker door will turn RED to indicate the door is secure and device is charging.
Retrieving your device is just as simple!
  1. Select the locker that has your device.
  2. Swipe your myUTSA ID card.
  3. Retrieve your device and close the locker door.


Technical Support: 

If you are unable to retrieve your phone after swiping your card or require further technical support, please contact the following: 

    Main Campus: 

  •   Please visit the JPL information commons SC technical staff desk on the 2nd floor or call us at (210) 458-4579. Alternative support is with SC technical staff desk in the SC BB Lab 2.01.20 during normal business hours. 

    Downtown Campus: 

  • Please visit the Downtown Library SC technical staff desk on the 2nd floor of the Buena Vista building or call us at (210) 458-4579. 

Note: UTSA’s Police Department Lost and Found office will be contacted to pick up devices left in the charging station lockers over 24 hours. If you have left your device in the charging station for over 24 hours, check with Lost and Found to retrieve your device. Lost and Found contact info is (210) 458-6247 and is located in the Bosque Building 1st floor near elevator.
