Dear Roadrunners,

I hope you all had a restful break and are feeling energized by the return of our students and the start of the spring semester.

2019 is a very special year for UTSA – we’re turning 50! No doubt you’ve noticed the beautiful new 50^th banners gracing our campuses. They are the first indicators of the big plans we have in store to celebrate this milestone.  

I hope you will take a few moments to peruse our 50^th anniversary website showcasing our history, collective memories and celebratory events. The site will evolve over the course of the year, so plan to visit often. 

Our 50^th is a unique opportunity to take stock of how far we’ve come as a university as we visualize UTSA’s continued transformation in the decade ahead. My gratitude goes to the team of staff, faculty and students who worked hard over the last several months to put together a terrific slate of programming and commemorations.

We have many milestones ahead, and I am looking forward to celebrating UTSA’s past, present and future with all of you this year.
