A Message from President Eighmy: Exercise your right, and vote!
Note: UT San Antonio President Taylor Eighmy sent this message to all UT San Antonio faculty, staff and students on Oct. 19.
Colleagues and students,
As early voting begins today for the 2026 Midterm Elections, I’m writing to encourage you to be informed and make your voice heard. Regardless of your perspective, exercising your right to vote is incredibly important and at the heart of our democracy.
Early voting in-person runs from Monday, October 19 through Friday, October 30, with varying hours each day. On the Main Campus, you can cast your ballot in the Bexar Room at the H-E-B Student Union (HSU 1.102). Our Downtown Campus community can vote at the Bexar County Elections Office, located at 1103 S. Frio St. Our Health Science Center Campus community can vote off campus at any designated Bexar County polling station. For more details, a full list of election resources can be found on the Bexar County Elections Department website.
After you vote, stay engaged with issues that matter to you and get involved with future voting efforts by following #RowdyVOTES for helpful resources.
I share this every election cycle, but I strongly believe that civic engagement is a privilege that must be exercised. No matter your position, your voice matters. Please use it and vote.
With appreciation,
Taylor Eighmy, PhD
President
