Early voting at the Main Campus
There will be no polling location on campus for this local election. Please refer to Bexar County’s “Early Voting Locations & Hours” document to find a polling location near you.

Curbside voting
If you are physically unable to enter the polling place without the need of personal assistance or the likelihood of injuring your health, curbside voting is available. All vote centers in Bexar County have curbside voting. You will see a parking spot with a curbside sign. There is a number on the sign to call and let the vote center know you're at the vote center for curbside voting.
Voting near the Downtown Campus
The Downtown Campus community may vote early at the Bexar County Elections Office located at 1103 S. Frio St., a short 12-minute walk from campus or 0.6 mile drive. Please visit Bexar County Elections’ main landing page for polling station hours and locations near you. You may cast your vote at any polling station near you.
Election Day - Tuesday, April 28
There will be no polling location on campus for this local election. Please refer to Bexar County’s “Election Day Voting Locations” document to find a polling location near you.
Don't forget your ID!
You are legally allowed to vote past 7pm as long as you line up to vote by 7pm.

Parking Information
Short-term voter parking on campus will not be available for this election.
The voter registration deadline is Thursday, April 2nd.
If you have recently changed addresses, changed your name, or need your voter registration card replaced, you are encouraged to update your voter registration status.
You are eligible to vote in Texas if:
- You are a U.S. citizen,
- You are a resident of Texas,
- AND you will be 18 years old or older by election day.

Visit the Bexar County Elections Department website to check if you’re registered to vote in Bexar County.
If you're not registered in Bexar County, visit the Texas Secretary of State’s website to complete, print, sign and mail your voter registration application to the Bexar County Elections Department, 1103 S. Frio, Ste. 100, San Antonio, TX 78207. The voter registration application must be received by Bexar County Elections by Thursday, April 2nd.
Note: You are not registered until you have filled out the online application, printed it, and mailed it to your local County Voter Registrar.

Register to Vote on Campus
Voters are welcome to email EngagedLearning@utsa.edu for information on registering to vote on campus.
For students living in UT San Antonio housing
Students can drop off voter registration applications and applications for ballot by mail at the USPS drop box located in the service tunnel under the Multidisciplinary Studies building, just outside the mail room.
- USPS picks up by the mail no later than 3:30 p.m. To ensure your outgoing mail is processed the same day, your mail should be sent to the mailroom by 3 p.m.
- Mail Services operates Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.– 5 p.m., excluding university holidays. Visit the Mail Services website for additional information.
- Register to vote
- Enter your residence hall address and dorm number in the "Residence Address" box on the voter registration application.
- Any address can be listed here. This is where your voter registration card will be sent. Please note that students cannot receive mail from the Mail Services department and must speak with the UPS Store in the Student Union for options for receiving mail.
- Deadline to request an absentee ballot is Monday, April 20, 2026 by 5 p.m. (received, not postmarked). Deadline falls on San Jacinto Day, moves to preceding business day.
- Last day for Elections Department to receive mail ballot - Saturday, May 2, 2026 (Election Day) at 7:00 p.m. if carrier envelope is not postmarked, OR Monday, May 4, 2026 (next business day after Election Day) at 5:00 p.m. if carrier envelope is postmarked by 7:00 p.m. at the location of the election on Election Day (unless overseas or military voter deadlines apply)
Vote By Mail
If you are eligible, you can vote by mail in Texas.
- Sign up to vote by mail - you will be sent a mail-in voter application
- Complete your application and postmark it by Monday, April 20, 2026 by 5 p.m. (received, not postmarked)
- You will be sent your mail-in ballot, which needs to be completed and postmarked by Election Day at 7 p.m.
