Strategic Plan Midpoint Update (Fall 2022)
In August 2019, UTSA completed the first step in the decennial Reaffirmation of Accreditation Process by submitting the Compliance Certification Report for review by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The report was favorably reviewed, and UTSA provided all needed documentation in anticipation of hosting an on-site team of peer reviewers in mid-March 2020. Due to the pandemic, the timing and nature of on-site review was delayed.
In the Summer 2020, UTSA hosted a Reaffirmation of Accreditation Committee in a series of virtual meetings. The team praised UTSA’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), Bold Careers: Understanding through Experiential Learning and made no other recommendations for action.
Following this review, in December 2021, the SACSCOC Board of Trustees voted to reaffirm UTSA’s institutional accreditation until 2030. UTSA’s next report, the Fifth-Year Interim Report, will be due in March of 2026.
