UTSA helps beautify Westside historic site during Day of Service

On March 2, faculty, staff and students made meaningful connections with the community surrounding the Downtown Campus during UTSA’s Day of Service. UTSA community members volunteered along with the City of San Antonio District 5 staff to clean up and plant trees and flowers around Plaza Guadalupe, a culturally historic outdoor amphitheater located along Guadalupe Street on San Antonio's West Side. Notable dignitaries who helped beautify this Westside gem include UTSA President Taylor Eighmy, City of San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg, City Manager Erik Walsh, and District 5 City Councilwoman Shirley Gonzales.
