Strong campus response to new programs

The strong campus-wide response to programs within this initiative—including the Advancing Academic Excellence through Accelerating Faculty Diversity Hiring Program, the Advancing Academic Excellence through Accelerated Hiring of Nationally Recognized Faculty Program, and the Dual Career Academic Excellence through Accelerating Faculty Diversity Hiring Program—have resulted in seven new faculty set to join UTSA next fall. Twelve new Clustered and Connected Hiring Program proposals have undergone review by the Transdisciplinary Research Council (TRC), and their recommendations will be forwarded to Provost Espy and President Eighmy for final decisions. Hires selected as a part of this process will be included in annual position requests.
