Food insecurity jeopardizes student success, impacting learning, grades, and degree completion time. The Roadrunner Pantry is dedicated to combating this challenge by providing tailored services to address students' nutritional needs and support their overall wellbeing.

Meal Share Program

With the generous partnership of UT San Antonio Dining and the meal plan community, the UT San Antonio Meal Share Program allows students the opportunity to apply for a meal allotment in times of need. Meal allotments are limited to (15) meals per semester to be used at the Roadrunner Café. If you would like to request meals through the Meal Share Program, please complete the Meal Share Assistance Application below.

Meal Share Assistance Application Process:

  1. Submit application online.  
  2. Application is reviewed and processed. Please allow up to 24 hours.
  3. Student will receive an email (my.utsa.edu email address) with further instructions on allotment and how to check status throughout usage.

Mobile Distribution

Mobile distributions of free, fresh food hosted by the San Antonio Food Bank (SAFB) in partnership with the Roadrunner Pantry, as a gift from the Najim Foundation, are held on the last Friday of each month from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Drive-through and walk-up are available. Your vehicle, or your cart, will be loaded by our volunteers.

On occasion, additional distributions will take place. Check back here for updates.

  • September 26 - Guadalupe Hall parking lot facing the Roadrunner Café
  • October 31 - Guadalupe Hall parking lot facing the Roadrunner Café

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) offers nutrition assistance to eligible low-income individuals and families. A SNAP Benefits Representative from the San Antonio Food Bank is on-campus throughout the semester to assist students with applying for SNAP and other federal benefits. Grad Gown Lending Program

The Roadrunner Pantry lends out graduation gowns to graduating UT San Antonio students who have been served by the Roadrunner Pantry | Whataburger Resource Room to help supplement the cost of graduation. Grad gowns and the sizing of gowns The Roadrunner Pantry offers a limited number of graduation gowns for students who have accessed pantry services and need support with Commencement costs. Gown sizes vary and availability is limited, so all applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to size availability.

Applications will be open between April 1-15 (Spring graduation) and November 1-15 (Fall graduation).
