Academic Dishonesty

Academic or Scholastic Dishonesty

Integrity is one of UTSA’s core values and is important to maintain in an ethical learning environment. Academic dishonesty refers to acts of deception or cheating that diminish the integrity of the academic process. This includes but is not limited to, plagiarism, cheating on exams or assignments, falsifying records, unauthorized collaboration, and submitting work that is not your own.

Instances of academic dishonesty are taken seriously and are subject to disciplinary action as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct (Section 203). Allegations of academic misconduct and the administrative due process for all involved parties are the responsibility of Student Conduct and Community Standards.
