UTSA Spirit of the Roadrunner
The Spirit of the Roadrunner program recognizes students who embody the spirit of UTSA while striving for the highest levels of academic achievement, campus involvement, and community service. They demonstrate the Roadrunner Creed in their daily actions and serve as ambassadors to the university at various UTSA-sponsored events throughout the year.

Types of Appearances
- The UTSA Spirit of the Roadrunner award recipients serve as ambassadors to the university at various UTSA-sponsored events throughout the year.
- They have often served as judges or emcees for various events, been featured in UTSA print and video marketing, or attended events as special guests.
- UTSA represents The University of Texas at San Antonio, they are limited to marketing for the institution only. UTSA Spirit of the Roadrunner award recipients are not able to promote candidacies for any elections or campaigns.
Things to Consider for Appearances
- If you plan to have UTSA Spirit of the Roadrunner award recipients speak at your event, please prepare a script to submit to the Student Activities Department three (3) days prior to your event.
- Be specific about appropriate attire for the occasion. We want to make sure UTSA Spirit of the Roadrunner award recipients are properly prepared to attend your event.
- Be prepared to answer questions regarding transportation and parking for UTSA Spirit of the Roadrunner award recipients if you are requesting them for an off-campus event.
