Week-long event celebrates exceptional graduate students

Week-long event celebrates exceptional graduate students

APRIL 21, 2022 — The Graduate School at UTSA recently capped off a week-long celebration of its graduate population with an awards ceremony.

The honorees included winners of the school’s 3MT Research Competition, which challenges students from all disciplines to present their research or special projects in three minutes or less and only include one static PowerPoint slide.

Various students, faculty, staff and programs were also recognized with Graduate School Excellence Awards.

The ceremony took place earlier this month as part of the 13th Annual UTSA Graduate Student Appreciation Week. This year’s celebration boasted 19 separate events that engaged 780 participants. The local festivities are part of a larger celebration, National Graduate-Professional Student Appreciation Week.

UTSA Graduate Appreciation Week (GSAW) is held every academic year during the first full week in April.

Check out this year’s winners of the 3MT Research Competition and the Graduate School Excellence Awards.
