UTSA releases 2022 Security and Fire Safety Report

SEPTEMBER 30, 2022 — Editor’s note: The following message was sent via email today from the UTSA Office of Institutional Compliance and Risk Services to all faculty, staff and students:

We are pleased to inform you that UTSA’s 2022 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is now available on our Clery Compliance and Safe Campus Resources websites. You can access the report directly at the following URL:

Completed in accordance with the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, this report provides information on a variety of important security and fire safety topics:

  • Crime reporting and statistics
  • Crime prevention and security awareness programs
  • Policies on law enforcement, drugs and alcohol, sex offender registration and on-campus weapons
  • Fire reporting and statistics
  • Fire safety programs and systems
  • Fire prevention policies

Clear and accurate reporting is imperative to our success and to our accountability as an institution. We encourage you to review this year’s report to learn more about our policies, reporting and commitment to providing a safe campus experience.
