Slideshow: UTSA celebrates grand opening of Park West Fieldhouse

JULY 21, 2023 — UTSA held a grand opening for Park West Fieldhouse on Thursday, July 20. The $8 million, 14,325-square-foot facility will serve as the new home of the women’s soccer and the men’s and women’s track & field/cross country programs.

Guest speakers at the event included UTSA President Taylor Eighmy, UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Lisa Campos, American Athletic Conference Commissioner Mike Aresco, Bexar County Judge Peter Sakai, Bexar County Precinct 3 Commissioner Grant Moody, Roadrunner Foundation President Gene Dawson and UTSA soccer student-athlete Avery Chaney.

“This morning, I enjoyed attending the new Park West Fieldhouse alongside UTSA President Dr. Eighmy and athletic director Lisa Campos,” shared Sakai. "Track and soccer teams will utilize this impressive venue, adding an exciting dimension to UTSA’s sports facilities.”
