UTSA, Centro San Antonio partner up to support Roadrunners Football season and downtown small businesses

San Antonio businesses have the opportunity to display a 6-foot UTSA ‘Let’s Go 210’ inflatable helmet to showcase their support during every home game of the season.

SEPTEMBER 8, 2023 — Stakeholders and businesses throughout Downtown San Antonio will show their spirit for UTSA Roadrunners Football on game days by offering discounts and staycations, providing exterior light displays, and organizing additional pageantry throughout the city in support of this year’s exciting season, which continues with the home opener against I-35 rival Texas State on Saturday, Sept. 9, at the Alamodome.

Under the direction of fourth-year head coach Jeff Traylor, the Roadrunners are picked to finish second in the American Athletic Conference in their first year as a member of the league. UTSA is coming of an 11-3 campaign in 2022 that featured a second straight conference championship and third consecutive bowl game appearance.

Partners include a wide range of hotels, bars and restaurants, retail, entertainment venues and property owners with a few examples including:

  • Pinkerton’s BBQ at Legacy Park - $2.10 Lone Star Tall boys and game day watch parties!
  • The Magik Theatre - 20% off single day show tickets and 20% off concessions items when you wear UTSA gear!
  • DEZYNR By Nadia Ramon - $2.10 discount on custom handmade jewelry!
  • Emily Morgan Hotel - Anyone with a game ticket attending a home game will enjoy 20% off food at Oro Restaurant & Bar and 50% off any appetizers! Make sure to try their signature Roadrunner cocktail!

In addition to these offerings, Centro San Antonio has secured over 100 6-foot UTSA ‘Let’s Go 210’ inflatable helmets for participants to showcase their support during every home game of the season. These inflatables will also assist in identifying participating businesses across the community.
