American Athletic Conference teams figure to be well-positioned for a second appearance in the College Football Playoff in 2024 as the new playoff format allows for the five highest-ranked conference champions to reach the 12-team field.
Fifth-year head coach Jeff Traylor welcomes back nearly 50 lettermen, including 16 starters. The Roadrunners are coming off a 9-4 campaign that saw them claim the first bowl win in program history with a 35-17 victory over Marshall in the 2023 Frisco Bowl.
