MAY 30, 2024 — The American Athletic Conference on Thursday announced a number of television designations and kickoff times for the 2024 football season, including for seven UTSA games.
The Roadrunners now know their start times and broadcast networks for the first four games, as well as the final three regular season contests.
UTSA will kick off its 14th season of football against Kennesaw State at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, at the Alamodome. The season opener is slated for an ESPN+ broadcast.
The Roadrunners then make short trips north on I-35 the following two Saturdays for nationally televised contests. On September 7, UTSA will face Texas State on ESPNU at 3 p.m. in San Marcos. On September 14, the Roadrunners will meet Texas on ESPN at 6 p.m. in Austin.
UTSA then will return to the Alamodome for its final non-conference game against Houston Christian, which will air on ESPN+ at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 21.
The Roadrunners will host back-to-back Friday night affairs on ESPN2 with North Texas coming to the Alamodome for an 8 p.m. kickoff on November 15 and Temple heading to the Alamo City for a 6 p.m. matchup on November 22.
UTSA will close out the regular season on the road against Army on Saturday, November 30, in a game that will kick off at 11 a.m. Central time on CBS Sports Network.
The American Athletic Conference Football Championship Game will air on ABC at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 6. It will be the 10th consecutive season that the conference championship game will be televised on ABC.
Fans can purchase season tickets online or by calling the UTSA Ticket Office at 210-458-UTSA (8872) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Current UTSA football season-ticket holders may renew their tickets by logging into their UTSA Account Manager.
Season tickets start as low as $90 per seat. Payment plans for all season ticket packages are available.
Current UTSA students receive free admission to all home games by downloading tickets via their Account Manager.
Most of the remaining start times and television designations for the 2024 season will be made on a weekly basis throughout the season as part of the conference’s 12-day selection process. For example, UTSA would be notified of its kickoff time and television network designation for the September 28 league opener at East Carolina on Monday, September 16. The most up-to-date schedule, with television designations, is available at TheAmerican.org.

Fifth-year head coach Jeff Traylor welcomes back nearly 50 lettermen, including 16 starters. The Roadrunners are coming off a 9-4 campaign that saw them claim the first bowl win in program history with a 35-17 victory over Marshall in the 2023 Frisco Bowl. UTSA posted a 7-1 mark to finish third in The American in its debut season in the league.
