NOVEMBER 27, 2024 — As part of the Enhancing Wellbeing Initiative, UTSA will host a series of listening sessions for students during the first week of December.
These sessions, held both in-person and virtually, aim to gather student experiences, challenges and ideas to help shape the future of the university’s well-being support programs, practices and policies.
Students are encouraged to visit the Fall 2024 Student Listening Sessions webpage and attend the session that best fits their schedule. Each session will be structured the same.
The task force plans to host similar listening sessions for faculty and staff in early spring.
The Enhancing Wellbeing Initiative is co-chaired by LT Robinson, UTSA senior vice provost and dean of students, and Tammy Wyatt, UTSA senior vice provost for student success. Launched in August, the initiative builds on the university’s longstanding commitment to student health and well-being.
The initiative’s task force, which began meeting in October, is charged with reviewing and assessing how the university’s programs, policies and practices affect the student experience related to all eight dimensions of well-being: emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social and spiritual.
By engaging students, faculty and staff, the task force will identify strengths and opportunities for improvements within the university’s current support systems and present their recommendations to the provost in the spring.
