FEBRUARY 3, 2025 — Editor’s note: The following message was sent via email from UTSA President and UT Health San Antonio Acting President Taylor Eighmy to all faculty, staff and students.
Today I’m writing to share the latest updates regarding the integration of UTSA and UT Health San Antonio, including the forthcoming launch of a new task force, several new working groups and three new FAQs. I encourage you to review the highlights of these updates below and visit our integration website for further details.
We’re launching a Research, Discovery and Innovation Task Force.
Later this month, we’ll formally launch a Research, Discovery and Innovation Task Force to support the integration of research administration functions between UTSA and UT Health San Antonio. The group will be led by leadership, faculty and administrative staff from both institutions and will serve to create a seamless research administration experience during the integration process. Once formalized, membership and other details will be added to the integration website. More information regarding the scope and members of this task force will be shared in my next communication.
We’ve launched several new working groups to support the ongoing efforts of our active task forces. Additional working groups under these (and our other) task forces will be established as their work evolves.
