MAY 9, 2025 — Editor’s note: The following message was sent via email from UTSA President Taylor Eighmy to all students.
Congratulations on finishing the spring semester strong! I know how hard you’ve worked to get here, and I’m deeply proud of the progress you’re making each day to achieve your bold goals. As you wrap up your classes, I encourage you to take the time you need to rest, recharge and prepare to embrace all the opportunities the upcoming semester will bring.
Just as many of you are closing one chapter and beginning the start of a new one, so too is UTSA transforming and growing. With our forthcoming merger with UT Health San Antonio, our new powerhouse university will stand as the third-largest public research university in Texas—positioning us to serve even more students and create even more pathways for success. As we continue on this journey toward integration, I hope you’ll stay engaged with the process and continue to champion our very special community.
For those of you continuing your educational journey with us, I look forward to seeing you back on campus soon. To our spring graduates, congratulations on reaching this incredible milestone.
I thank you for choosing to make UTSA your home. Whether you were here for one semester or for the entire duration of your studies, I hope you’ll remember—once a Roadrunner, always a Roadrunner. I look forward to cheering many of you on at the Alamodome next weekend.
Congratulations and Birds up!
