MAY 5, 2025 — Following a win over South Florida and league results on Sunday, the UTSA baseball team has clinched its first regular-season conference championship since 2008, with six games remaining on its American Athletic Conference schedule.
Under the leadership of sixth-year head coach Pat Hallmark, the Roadrunners have notched an 18–3 conference record that has guaranteed the team at least a share of the title. The Roadrunners hold a six-game advantage over Florida Atlantic, Charlotte and South Florida, who are all tied for second.
UTSA has won two regular-season championships in back-to-back years, winning the Southland Conference in 2007 and 2008. The Roadrunners will now look to win the regular-season title outright with a win on Friday night against East Carolina.
UTSA’s final home games of the regular season will take place at Roadrunner Field on the Main Campus from May 15–17 when the Roadrunners host the Rice Owls for a three-game series. The American Athletic Conference Championship Tournament will be held from May 20–25 in Clearwater, Florida.
