How has UTSA prepared you for what you are doing today?

“UTSA taught me the skills for starting a business as a new entrepreneur, including creating the initial business plan and developing a marketing strategy. Although much has changed in marketing since I studied (and later taught in the UTSA College of Business), my education at UTSA has kept pace with changes in the business world by encouraging adaptability and change.

I enjoyed the Marketing and Management classes, but had to challenge myself to focus when it came to Accounting and Finance. I’m glad that I did, because I’ve had to apply those skills throughout my career from when I worked in banking to today as a small business owner. I’m grateful for the preparation UTSA provided to give me a foundation for entrepreneurship.”
