Welcome, and congratulations on your graduate's remarkable achievement of a college degree! Commencement day is not only a major event in a graduate's life but also a celebration and acknowledgement of you—the friends and family—who have provided guidance, care and support to the new graduate. We hope that the information on this website will help you have the most enjoyable experience possible on this special day.
Doors will open approximately 2 hours before the ceremony. You will be seated on the northside of the Alamodome. There is no parking on this side of the dome, but you may enter here. Guests will not be allowed into the loading dock entry with the graduates.
All names will be called. The ceremony should take approximately 2–2.5 hours.
After the ceremony, please exit the Alamodome immediately at the North Plaza to congratulate your Graduate. No re-entry will be allowed.
No ticket is required. There will be open seating for guests.
Noisemakers, Balloons, Flowers and Refreshments
No noisemakers, balloons, flowers (unless purchased at the Alumni table) or outside refreshments will be allowed inside the Alamodome. Minimal concessions will be available.
Small, non-professional, single frame "point and shoot" cameras are allowed into the venue. However, use of "professional cameras" is prohibited unless the user has appropriate media credentials and prior written approval. Any camera with a detachable lens or lens that extends to four or more inches is considered a "professional camera" and thus prohibited.
