A Message from our President
Greetings. Thank you for all you do to help make UTSA the great university that it is today. I remind you of the importance of centralizing all legislative communications and interactions through our UTSA Office of External Affairs, which is housed in the President's Office, to insure we convey clear, concise and coordinated messages to all elected officials.
This Office works in close collaboration with the UT System Offices of Governmental and Federal Relations. To this end, if you have any reason to be in contact with elected officials or their staff, are contacted by elected officials or their staff, or have any questions about the Legislative/Congressional process, please contact Albert Carrisalez, Director for External Affairs / Assistant to the President at (210) 458-5138 or Elvira Jacquez, Assistant Director for External Affairs at (210)458-4009.
If you are contacted by UTSA External Affairs Staff for a response, please respond in a timely manner. I have also asked both Albert and Elvira to provide you updates on what's happening at the State Capitol, via this web site.
