Welcome to Student Affairs! We are glad you are here!
A few Student Affairs offices have moved to different locations to improve operational efficiency:
Office hours for Student Financial Aid and Enrollment Services are changing. Beginning Monday, July 6, our office hours at both the Main and Downtown Campus will be:
Because we have a high volume of student and parent inquiries just prior to the start of classes, we plan to have extended hours August 10-21, 2015:
This summer, we will be open the following Saturdays at the Main Campus from 9am - 1pm:
Moving forward, we anticipate extending our work week hours every payment deadline week in the fall and spring semesters, and likely will choose a week in May as well. We will also continue to be open the Saturday preceding fall payment deadline and move-in weekend each August. We have posted this upcoming change to our hours on our website and are also promoting this over social media. Our locations at both Main and Downtown Campus are posting signs as well.
On June 1, University Center Events Management & Conference Services launched a new online event request form for Main Campus spaces scheduled by that office. The new form, which functions directly through the 25Live reservation system, will offer registered student organization and university department planners a more user-friendly, streamlined method for submitting requests for event space. Student and staff test requestors have described the form as “more intuitive,” “straightforward” and “clear and easy.”
Requestors will log in to the system by using the standard university account and passphrase combination, allowing 25Live to recognize user contact information and organization or department affiliations. Availability will show in real-time as the location is selected so that users may choose an alternate if the preferred space is not available. A bonus for those who schedule numerous events is the ability to log in and see past and future reservations.
There will be plenty of help for requestors on learning to navigate the new process. An online tutorial is coming to the EMCS website at utsa.edu/events, and trainings will be scheduled throughout the summer. Later this month, Main Campus event requestors who are interested in “test driving” the new form will have the option of selecting the new form or the current one when submitting a request.
For more information on the new event request form, contact Events Management & Conference Services at 210.458.4155.
The UTSA University Center (UC) is currently hosting the exhibit, New Works by Dr. Mauli Agrawal, Vice President of Research at UTSA in the UC Gallery 23 (UC 1.02.23). The exhibit will run through September 30th.
Curated by Jana Schwartz, associate director of University Center communications and programs, the exhibit will showcase paintings created by Dr. Agrawal.
“It is my honor to share this selection of my art work with our UTSA community”, Dr. Agrawal.
Gallery 23 offers cultural enrichment, enhances diversity on campus and provides educational opportunities to explore the arts. The gallery showcases artwork by UTSA students, staff, faculty, alumni and local artists.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday. The gallery takes its name from its room number, University Center Room 1.02.23.
RowdyLink now has an app for android and iphone devices! The app is called Corq and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and Apple Store!.

The UTSA community can contact Counseling Services at 210-458-4140 for support both during and after office hours. UTSA Counseling Services has offered after-hours on-call services since 2003, utilizing existing staff members. On-call services were previously accessed through UTSA Police Dispatch and so were limited to client crisis/emergency or police consultation.
Going forward, UTSA Counseling Services has contracted with ProtoCall, a leading provider of third-party telephone behavioral services, to provide after office hour counseling services. By contracting with ProtoCall, the entire UTSA Community will have immediate access to a qualified mental health professional 24/7. Protocall professionals are experienced with college student mental health and will have access to UTSA and San Antonio-specific information and resources. ProtoCall will alert UTSA Counseling Services of over-night calls so that staff members can provide timely follow-up.
