Ashton Alarcon Earns Scholarship from Alpha Lambda Delta

Recently, Ashton Alarcon was awarded the Jo Anne J. Trow Scholarship from the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society.

Each year, Alpha Lambda Delta awards 36 Trow scholarships to outstanding students from across the country. Selection is based on maintaining a 3.5 grade point average, academic records, participation in Alpha Lambda Delta activities, campus and community service activities, and the applicant's statement. The national selection committee was faced with a difficult task as there were 110 applicants who qualified.

Student Employee of the Month – Deborah Luster

The offices of Student Life and Student Conduct & Community Standards recognized Deborah Luster as Student Employee of the Month for June 2016. Deborah is new to the office suite and has shown initiative by quickly learning the office processes and procedures. She has taken ownership of her position’s responsibilities, exhibited by her accuracy and thoroughness in completing assigned tasks.

Deborah is a self-starter, actively engaged, and confident. Our offices use Student Affairs’ REACH model to challenge our student employees, and congratulate Deborah as the recipient of this award for C – Critical Thinking and R- Responsibility. Great job, Deborah!
