March 2013

03-11: Currently, each institutional Benefits department is responsible for sending out COBRA letters to termed employees and employees and dependents who will lose eligibility.  With UTShare at UTSA, COBRA letters will be centralized and sent out through the Office of Employee Benefits (OEB).

February 2013

02-29: Employee Self Service, or ESS, is a web-based menu within UTShare at UTSA where employees can manage and monitor their records.  ESS allows employees to perform a range of functions including the ability to report time and absences, access and change personal details, view and print pay advices, access leave balances, edit direct deposit information and update biographical information including phone numbers and home address.

02-11: In the Travel & Expense module in UTShare at UTSA, users will be able to electronically attach expense receipt(s) to a report and the attachments will route for approval to required processing areas.  This enhancement will streamline processing approval for expense reimbursements as paper routing will be decreased.

January 2013

01-28: In UTShare at UTSA, employees can choose up to three (3) accounts for direct deposit.  Additionally, direct deposit only needs to be setup once to cover paycheck deposits, and travel reimbursements.  No longer will employees have to setup a direct deposit for payroll and a direct deposit for travel.
