Insurance and risk management veteran Frank Castellano, CIC, has been named executive vice president and San Antonio practice leader for Brown & Brown, one of the leading insurance brokerages in the nation.

Castellano brings more than 20 years of global insurance experience to Brown & Brown. He most recently was vice president and head of distribution for global retail markets - West Region {Latin America & Western Europe} for Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he was responsible for identifying, planning and driving the execution of the regional sales and distribution initiatives across multi-billion dollar personal and business lines in an eight-country region. Before that, he co-led distribution for Safeco/Liberty Mutual Insurance in Texas and was the vice president of SWBC Insurance Partners, an international financial services company.

Castellano, originally from Laredo, Texas, went to college in San Marcos, Texas, and has called San Antonio home for the past 20 years.

Castellano received his MBA from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2012 and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas State University in 1998. He has both Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designations. He is licensed in Property & Casualty, Life, Accident and Health and is a licensed risk manager.
