Business Continuity

Continuous Operations Is Our Goal

Through business continuity planning, we ensure the university maintains functional operations during or shortly after disruptive events. Business continuity planning is the process a company implements to create a prevention and recovery system from potential threats, such as natural disasters, cyberattacks or pandemics. The goal effectively resume and maintain business functions and research activities. Through our planning efforts, university departments remain ready to meet the challenges of any disruption.

UTSA's Business Continuity

The Business Continuity Program can help you and your department ensure the continued operation of our university. To help university departments meet their planning needs, we developed a business impact analysis and recovery survey tool to assist academic and administrative offices through the process of mapping their critical operations and beginning the planning process.

Departmental surveys help identify critical functions, policies, vulnerabilities and recovery procedures. We encourage you to discuss and identify core functions and recovery processes internally to determine solutions and best practices. When completing the survey, be sure to answer all questions for each location in which your department operates.
