Toys for Tickets campaign a great success for Campus Services, Elf Louise

December 14, 2022

Campus Services’ 2023 Toys for Tickets campaign was a great success. In total, the Roadrunner community donated 197 toys to benefit children and families in need through the Elf Louise Christmas Project.

This year, the campaign ran from Nov. 7 through Dec. 2. During this time, customers could donate a new, nonviolent toy valued at $5 or more in exchange for 50% off one eligible UTSA parking citation. Donations without a citation were welcome and encouraged. Additionally, Campus Services collected toys during the Business Affairs “Hot Chocolate & Holiday Cheer” event, encouraging attendees to bring toys to maximize their charitable impact.

Last week, Campus Services delivered the toys to the Elf Louise Christmas Project, where volunteers will wrap and distribute them to families in need throughout the San Antonio area. This year, the organization estimates that it will deliver approximately 40,000 toys to the community.

The Elf Louise Christmas Project began in 1969. The grassroots organization is run by volunteers and is dedicated to giving back to the community. Since its inception, the organization has delivered over 1 million toys to children in the greater San Antonio area.

Campus Services looks forward to hosting Toys for Tickets again in 2023.
