Virtual Recovery Support Groups

Groups are designed to help students develop a positive social support system, while learning about, building and maintaining recovery. It is not required that you be in an abstinent based recovery, rather we encourage you to end unhealthy relationships with substances and/or addictive behaviors, however that may look for you. Our meetings are open to any student, faculty, staff or community member who is in or interested in recovery from any type substances or addictive behaviors.

All meetings are held virtually using this zoom video conference link https://zoom.us/j/2104588317 (Password: Recovery), at these times:

  • Mondays, 10 – 11 a.m.: All Recovery Meeting- a non-12 step, solution focused, peer-led support group designed to encourage open sharing with day to day successes and struggles as a person in or seeking recovery.
  • Tuesdays, 12 – 1 p.m.: Sober Curious- This meeting explores the idea of recovery, bringing a sense of clarity and understanding of it means to be in recovery. No matter what stage you are in your journey, this group can help you identify, prepare, and strengthen your recovery.

Support Us

There are many ways you can support our work with students in recovery.

Our mission is to provide an environment where students in recovery or interested in recovery can excel in college while developing meaningful relationships with others pursuing a sober lifestyle.

We encourage one another, connect students to resources and peers in recovery, and offer programming to sustain health and recovery. By ensuring students in recovery have a fulfilling and empowering experience at UTSA we create leaders and allow more students to seek help.

Our vision is to be a comprehensive recovery center that provides service to the university community through outreach and education on substance use and recovery.
